The Paveway guidance package consists of a seeker package attached to the nose of the weapon, and a wing kit attached to the rear to provide stability and greater range.

The GBU-12, GBU-16, and GBU-10 guided bomb units (GBUs) (fig. 1-33) are Mk 82, Mk 83, and Mk 84 LDGP bombs modified to detect a target illuminated by a laser beam. The modification consists of a MAU-169 series computer control group (CCG) and MXU-650, 651, or 667 series airfoil group (AFG).
