If you only have 16 GB, that only leaves 8 for the rest of the OS if running anything reasonably GPU heavy. If you go 24, you have double the RAM left for the Cpu when running something needing 8 GB of VRAM.

Also, if you have to ask whether you can tell the difference between the 256 GB speed and 512 Gb speed it means you are not having the kind of workflow where the difference is noticeable.

Aug 16, 2007 · Noticed you have a M2 Pro Mac Mini in your signature. Pro M4 modal comes with standard 24GB AND thunderbolt 5 ports for additional 400 dollars but modal choice depends entirely on your workflow. 200 dollars for RAM upgrade ONLY additional 8 GB RAM you will not see a major difference.
