State Route 16 (SR 16) is a 179-mile-long (288 km) state highway that travels west-to-east through portions of Haralson, Carroll, Coweta, Spalding, Butts, Jasper, Putnam, Hancock, and Warren counties in the western and central parts of the U.S. state of Georgia.

State Routes are generally state-maintained. The State Routes in the U.S. state of Georgia (typically abbreviated SR) are maintained by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). Routes from 400 to 499 are mostly unsigned internal designations for Interstate Highways.

Typical special roadside signs include destination signs, political boundary signs, hospital signs, exit gore signs, and supplemental guide signs. Advanced exit signs and exit signs are also classified as special roadside signs if the facility is two lanes or less.

Interstate 16 (I-16), also known as Jim Gillis Historic Savannah Parkway, is an east–west Interstate Highway located entirely within the US state of Georgia. [3] It carries the hidden designation of State Route 404 (SR 404) for its entire length.

The bridge on SR 16 over Flint River, Structure ID 255-0012-0, was built in 1960. This bridge consists of three (3) main spans of steel beams with five (5) approach spans of Reinforced Concrete Deck Girders (RCDG¿s).
