What happens in GTA4 is that sometimes the Keyboard (only the keyboard) becomes unresponsive and I can't move or do anything. Weirdly though, if I press esc to see the game menu that tends to always work, but it may be a timing issue (i can't get to escape fast enough before the keyboard becomes responsive again).

Normally when you mouse-over 'Managed Metadata Service' in the tree you get a drop-down box to create content. I don't get this mouse-over drop-down. Any thoughts? I, too, have been experiencing this problem, the random icon that is missing and for which Windows substitutes a default icon. I've tried deleting the icon cache in appdata/local/ and rebooting.
