The G428 is the second full-auto DMR in the game, joining the player-favorite BSV-M but with a different approach where precision matters most. The G428 is closer to the traditional marksman rifle, with higher stopping power at the exchange of lower rate of fire and more recoil kick.

The G428 behaves more like your standard automatic, but a 2HK at 300 rpm is not that impressive unless your hitrate is high. The 2HK range is also 40m, so it is focused on closer ranges, but has DMR hipfire.

The G28 DMR system is designed to enable military and police user groups to operate with precision, in the most adverse conditions, against single targets or against technical targets such as surveillance cameras, light sources and the optics of on-board weapons on combat vehicles.

Its full-auto mode is barely useful, as it fires so slowly as it is, but it does add some flexibility to an all-around decent gun. I'm starting to think that some of these content creators haven't played with some of the vault weapons, like the M39 which will kill faster at all ranges than the G428.
