Feb 14, 2022 · The ZO is an interesting optic. Might slap one on a SCAR 17 if it can handle that. I wonder how much lower it would really be, even on a Spuhr rail though, since the PO sits crazy low. Almost TOO low, in fact. Not that I’d ever rock a Spuhr, though. Just like the KAC stuff, interesting but quite ugly, in my opinion.

May 9, 2016 · To be honest, for a non magnified optic I prefer the hendsolt RSA or Ziess Z-point over any other optic on HKs, it provides absolute cowtiness on the G36 with the low carry rail and is vey light. I dont think the 1.5x tube really does much for you in the single carry handle setup and so you have to step up to 3x tube to be of much use IMHO.

Dec 27, 2011 · I have an H&K G36 Dual optic on my SL8. The objectives are small for CQ works. I have used an Aimpoint M2 with 3X multipler on a La Rue swing mount on my M4 in Afghanistan. The aimpoint with multiplier is a good set up but puts the main optic too far forward for close quarters in my opinion if you I also used the multipler.

Oct 24, 2015 · I've always been a bit disappointed in the Hensoldt/Zeiss optic tubes for G36, but realize this was the first time a military wanted a magnifying optic for every infantry rifle, so a design compromise was made in a number of ways. Still, a very good combat optic in 1.5X for short distances, and mediocre at 3X beyond 100yds or so.

Oct 1, 2007 · The G36 was a cost-saving experiment by HK who rightly assumed that their costs of German production would continue to escalate disproportionally to their perceived quality. The only steel HK that MIL/LE customers continue to pay a premium for is the MP5, the G36 was meant to undercut all the other Western assault rifles out there.

Nov 30, 2012 · So far I have been contemplating going with a UTG G36 low Rail + some sort of iron sights + TA44 ACOG, a KAC G36 folding sight set + Ta44 ACOG, or still trying to find a single tube optic carry handle and installing a 1.5x hendsoldt tube I recently aquired.

Dec 12, 2023 · G36 carry handle optic, with a Hensoldt 3.0x insert. The washer and retaining ring are not original but dimensionally identical and verified to be 100% functional. The scope insert is in very good condition with barely any noticeable spotting. I've had this mounted and zeroed on my TG36 for close to 100 rounds with no issues.
