The eMac (short for education Mac) is a discontinued all-in-one Mac desktop computer that was produced and designed by Apple Computer. Released in 2002, it was originally aimed at the education market but was later made available as a cheaper mass-market alternative to Apple's "Sunflower" iMac G4 .

The eMac was announced on 29 April 2002 (), exclusively sold to educational customers as a low-cost update to the iMac G3. [1] It upgrades the processor to the PowerPC G4 series, and simplifies the iMac G3 design to "snow white" glossy plastic.

The iMac G3, originally released as the iMac, is a series of Macintosh personal computers that Apple Computer sold from 1998 to 2003. The iMac was Apple's first major product release under CEO Steve Jobs following his return to the financially troubled company he co-founded.
