Aug 2, 2011 · I'm thinking of getting either a G27 (.40 subcompact) or a G39 (.45 G.A.P.). It's for self defense and traveling. Both are the same size; the G27 standard magazine is 9, vs. 6 for the G36. (I do not like a round in the chamber, so the grip extender would be 10 rounds vs. 7).

Aug 11, 2023 · My odgreen gen3 g27, g23 and g35 are 2006 and 2007. My Vickers gen3 g19 rtf2 . My black gen3 g23 is 2012. I only have one gen4 and it's a g21 fde. I bought and sold a gen5 g19 in one week. I agree, gen3 have been pulling glocks wagon longer.

Apr 25, 2012 · The 165 had a little more recoil as you would expect but the amount of recoil is not an issue and both loads are very manageable. I maybe wrong but my thinking, and I ve been known to get into trouble when I start thinking, is with the G27 and the short barrel length of 3.43 inches I may get better expansion with the 165 grin.

Feb 27, 2013 · My G22 is slightly more accurate than my G27 but the G27 is a very accurate little gun. I absolutely adore mine. About 1/3 of the time I can hit a 6" diameter target at 100 yards rested with the baby Glock. Posted using Outdoor Hub Campfire

Jun 10, 2020 · All I'm saying is that if the G27 is comfortable to CC at 12 o'clock and doesn't print much, then I'd possibly have two guns performing the same function. Another poster questioned the value of adding a conversion barrel just for the sake of shooting 9mm in the warmer months.

May 2, 2014 · In my G27 I usually run 180g Gold Dots, 165g Federal HST's or 165g Ranger T's. The 165g Ranger T's didn't get that great of penetration in tnoutdoors9's gel test, although the expansion was great. I just like a little better penetration for when I'm out fishing and the remote chance of getting bum rushed by a wild hog, so I put those back in ...

Feb 17, 2012 · Get a G27 with a Storm Lake G27 40-9mm conversion barrel and have both! I did... Also a G23 40-9mm will fit in the G27 as well and give you a full 4.02" gun. Speer GDHP 9mm 124 +P run 1220 fps 410 E from a 4" barrel.

Jan 29, 2014 · I have a G27, M&P40C and an M&P Shield 40 in compact sized 40 cal guns. The M&P40C is by far the easiest to shoot, followed by the G27 and the Shield 40 coming in last place. I shot some factory 180 gr FMJ thru the Shield the other day and all that I can say is the recoil was wicked .

Oct 25, 2012 · I'm currently using G17 mags for my G27, extended and regular capacity after converting to the Lone Wolf 9mm barrel. I also converted my G22 to 9mm and I use the same G17 mags with absolutely no problems at all.

Aug 8, 2019 · I normally carry the standard G27 magazines but occasionally carry one of my G22 mags instead. I regularly use all of my G27 and G22 mags during my range visits and have had ZERO problems. I have considered carrying my G22 mags regularly, but they just don't fit my fanny pack as well as two of the standard G27 mags.
