Aug 19, 2021 · Woods makes a valid point, a red dot isn't a magical fix for improper technique, that being said, practicing with what you'll be using is your best option, learning "the way of the red dot" isn't difficult but for myself, at 60 + years, it took me a while to make the switch to a red dot so starting out with a red dot may have an advantage in regards to the learning curve.
