The Jagdpanzer 38 (Sd.Kfz. 138/2), originally the Leichter Panzerjäger 38 (t), known mostly post-war as Hetzer, was a German light tank destroyer of the Second World War based on a modified Czechoslovakian Panzer 38 (t) chassis.

A WW2 wartime Škoda Jagdpanzer 38 Hetzer was called a G13 in the factory and on all internal documentation. G = tank hunter, 1 = light, 3 = model i.e number 3. G11 was Panzerjaeger I, G12 was Marder III.

Jan 23, 2015 · The Jadpanzer 38, or Hetzer, was a light tank destroyer produced from 1944 – 1945. 2584 were made, and it was used by Nazi Germany and its allies. Modifications of it were used by the Czech Republic and Switzerland.

The Hetzer (Swiss G13) before rebuild. Modifications made by the Swiss are removed. Many additions were made to the hull to meet Swiss requirements.

Nov 30, 2006 · Your list is impressive however you show the Bovington Tank Museums (UK) Hetzer as a modified G13. The Hetzer they have is most defiantly original. There are even pictures of it being recovered in Europe by the 21st Army recovery group using their one and only American Dragon wagon.

Aug 15, 2023 · The G13 was a Post-war version of the Jagdpanzer 38, built by Skoda for Switzerland by the new Czechoslovakian Government. In 1946 there was an order placed for 158 Hetzer tank destroyers. They would be come known as the G-13 Hetzer.
