Nov 13, 2020 · I'm replacing a G10q flourescent ring light with an updated LED ring bulb. THe old flourescent one ran through an electronic ballast and then plugged in to the main. Can anyone direct me to what I need to get the LED one going please? THe data sheet says it can be wired to the mains but I don't know how to go about it. Many thanks in advance!

Nov 13, 2020 · You could do this by cutting the ballast off the g10q socket leaving enough wire to connect the mains. Then connect the mains to the 4 pins on the g10q connector. The problem is that I do not know which pins are what on that LED bulb.

Mar 17, 2020 · I successfully swapped that old ballast with a new electronic ballast for same lamp (FC12T8) and socket/base type (G10Q) and wired it up as recommended on that ballast's diagram (which is the same as this one actually with no yellow wires in use) and all works fine.
