About Us - FSCA
The FSCA is the market conduct regulator of financial institutions, that provide financial products and financial services, financial institutions that are licensed in terms of a financial sector law, including banks, insurers, retirement funds and administrators, and market infrastructures.
Regulated Entities - FSCA

The Financial Sector Regulation Act (FSRA), which was signed into law in August 2017, established two new financial sector regulators - the Prudential Authority (PA) and the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) - both will reform the regulatory and supervisory system of the financial institutions.

The FSCA was established to be the dedicated market conduct regulator in South Africa's Twin Peaks regulatory model implemented via the Financial Sector Regulation Act.

The FSCA is responsible for performing secretariat and administrative functions in relation to the Council. Collaboration and cooperation become important as the FSCA’s extended mandate gives it oversight over financial institutions that are already regulated by other local authorities.
Regulatory Framework - FSCA
The functions and purpose of the FSCA is defined in the Financial Sector Regulation Act, No. 9 of 2017 (FSRA). The FSCA will further continue to supervise financial institutions in terms of the following Acts (financial sector laws).
