Dec 19, 2003 · I just finished bush hogging with the 1025R and 48" Frontier bush hog. This bushhog/1025 PTO setup is a HUGE improvement in starting up the bush hog. It starts up without the slams and bangs of the LX-4/4010 PTO. Those slams and bangs likely contributed to the failure of the output shaft gizmo/donut on the 4010.

Dec 19, 2003 · I took the blades off my Frontier RC2048 bush hog this afternoon. This cutter is a much more refined one than the LX4 I had before it. First, I had to buy another socket, a 42mm one, to big the bigger nuts on this cutter. I lowered the cutter onto two jack stands left over from my car repair days.

Jun 10, 2015 · Bush Hog BH215 Woods; greaseable quick remove blade pins. 4" blades, 2nd heaviest Rhino; heaviest, 65lbs more than BH, 48lbs more than Woods, but only uses 3" wide blade Bush Hog; best warranty, but lightest weight. So I would by Woods. I have an older BrushBull BB72.

Mar 6, 2016 · What should I get, drive 45 minutes and get a Frontier 72" mower (which is all I really need for mowing 10 acres) for $1000 or drive 4 hours (8 hours round trip) and get the Woods Brushbull for $1600. Both are in great shape, I realize the Woods is a beafier unit but I also assume the Frontier is a good unit as well. What would you guys do?

May 20, 2004 · I am planning to get a 7-foot Bush Hog lift-type rotary cutter soon. I am going with Bush Hog this time mainly due to the price. After comparing the two I would eventually like to sell the 10-foot Rhino and get either a Bush Hog or Rhino 15-foot batwing, depending on who fares better in the comparison.

Oct 23, 2006 · When I was looking for a brush hog, I rented a JD 855 of similar hp as the 2025R, and tried out a demo JD 513 (5ft) brush hog. With the HST tranny, there was no problem handling this size deck. Still have that JD 513 but running behind my JD 4300 at 32 hp.
