Jan 20, 2007 · The aft is definitely smoother. On our Navigator cruise I felt motion sickness a lot more when in the Theatre at the front of the ship, even though it was a lot lower down than our cabin on deck 9. We were right at the back too the last starboard balcony before the real aft ones.

Jun 15, 2023 · We agree, aft-facing cabins are awesome! However, I'm guessing the OP is referring to aft cabins located on either the port or starboard side of the ship rather than aft-facing, which I imagine would be a rare find resulting from an upgrade bid.

May 29, 2007 · The forward suite opens onto a side balcony that wraps round the front. There’s a partition between the front and side bits. If this was a non-Alaska cruise there’s no question we’d go aft for reasons already mentioned on this board: Forward cabins are worst in heavy seas and the balcony is very windy.
