Jan 20, 2007 · The aft is definitely smoother. On our Navigator cruise I felt motion sickness a lot more when in the Theatre at the front of the ship, even though it was a lot lower down than our cabin on deck 9. We were right at the back too the last starboard balcony before the real aft ones.

Dec 21, 2008 · Near aft elevator, 1st choice, or mid ship is good. last choice is forward, farther to get to dinner, lido buffet, pool, almost everything. We are exactly mid ship next cruise. We'll see how we like it.

Jun 15, 2023 · We agree, aft-facing cabins are awesome! However, I'm guessing the OP is referring to aft cabins located on either the port or starboard side of the ship rather than aft-facing, which I imagine would be a rare find resulting from an upgrade bid.

May 29, 2007 · The forward suite opens onto a side balcony that wraps round the front. There’s a partition between the front and side bits. If this was a non-Alaska cruise there’s no question we’d go aft for reasons already mentioned on this board: Forward cabins are worst in heavy seas and the balcony is very windy.

Mar 21, 2012 · Well, I've only ever had rooms in the middle of the ship but now (since we added a person to our booking) we've been moved from the middle to the front. Is the movement more noticeable at the front or am I worrying about nothing??
