Jan 15, 2020 · this is happening to my frogspawn. Polyps are not extending as usual. parameters are as shown. The only difference is that after last water change the Mg for some reason dropped from 1450 to 1320 suddenly. Asked the aquarium specialist who did the change and he could pin point anything in particular.

Apr 9, 2020 · Frogspawn Still isn’t extending like he use to. Carbon has been removed for little over a week. My Alk is around 9 and Cal 420. Think the algae I’ve been staring at is Dino’s and my water is maybe too clean - I still have other green algae growing on the glass so who knows.

Jul 25, 2024 · I love the way torches look but they take up soo much real estate and I have small tanks. For me the frogspawns and hammers are a better fit. I have an 8 head (started as 1) bright green frogspawn with blue tips in my tank(34g red sea) that takes up an entire corner. My wife has 2 hammers, an ocotspawn, and a frogspawn in her biocube.

Dec 22, 2014 · From what you described the light cycle being cut in half as well as high nutrients are the likely culprit. The green with purple tipped (common) frogspawn thrive under high light when acclimated to it. The less light it receives the lighter the green will be. Mid tank under 160 watt led set at 65% and mine is a very deep green.
