Oct 18, 2011 · Fraps 3.4.7 Build 13809 I opened Fraps. General: Ticked monitor aero desktop (DWM) FPS: No changes, didn't hide overlay. Movies: Ticked lock framerate while recording and set fps to the number I want. Screenshots: No changes. My game resolution is 800x600 Colour is 16-bit ( There is a option of 32-bit ) Any suggestions again? :sigh: :4-dontkno

Dec 29, 2011 · I personally have FRAPS open with Windows so it is always there if i need to record something. There are 4 tabs in Fraps, General, FPS, Movies, and Screenshots. Under FPS, there is a couple of things you can do, including changing the Overlay Hotkey, etc. My hotkey (for changing the position of the FPS counter) is F12.

Jan 22, 2016 · Is there a way to get the FPS counter to appear in Steam when using the Big Picture mode? I do not usually use the Big Picture mode, but occasionally I do due to having a steam controller. I know how to do it in the typical client, but cannot figure out how to do it in the Big Picture mode if there is even a way yet.

rs_stats [on,off] - Toggles display of game engine statistics, including FPS. There does not appear to be a command that will display just FPS, but you could potentially use FRAPS . Source: TweakGuide

Aug 20, 2013 · @AtlasEU Fraps has a negligible impact on performance in games, unless you're recording videos with it. If you're only using it to monitor your game's FPS, then the performance impact should be almost the same as a built-in FPS counter's.
