Dec 1, 2010 · The XTR is simply Canada's chrome package. It comes with 18 inch chrome clad wheel, chrome running boards, fog lights, chrome door handles and a chrome grille... It's exactly like the Texas edition minus the Texas edition badge. And BTW, XLT's don't come with wood grain, it's more reserved for higher trims.

Dec 9, 2011 · Why Ford calls them differently is anyones guess. After you order the XLT, or the XTR you can then order the chrome package which adds some chrome stuff to the truck.

Nov 7, 2022 · An XTR is the Canadien equivalent to the USA Chrome Appearance Package on XLT’s. I am not sure why it gets its own bedside decal and special name up there while ours don’t.

Dec 10, 2012 · While the XTR is only a Canadian trim, the same trim just with a different name is available in the US (called Texas Edition, Oklahoma Edition, etc). It's basically an XLT with the chrome package, and maybe a couple other options built in.
