Jul 25, 2002 · XEs have standard carby dizzies. XFs have the computer controlled dizzies. Both XE and XF EFI intakes are identical. As for the wiring, sorry, I cant help you out there. Locate an XF Factory manual, see what you can make happen with that... I am in the middle of doing an LE2 to EECIV conversion.

May 16, 2003 · One thing you may want to check is correct operation of the accelerator pump jet. That will cause flat spotting. Also have you checked when the engine is cold that the choke is closed with the correct amount of spring tension and that is able to move freely. Don't discount ignition problems either.

May 19, 2017 · The idle circuit would be blocked. Buy the major rebuild kit, it has schematics showing how the carb goes back together. Also buy a couple of can of carby cleaner, an old tooth brush to scrub it all down and blast everything and every hole with compressed air. The compressed air is crucial to cleaning out the galleries.

May 12, 2014 · In fact, If it is the same as carby XF sedan then the Carby fuel lines are bigger than stock EFI lines. I just used adapters to go from 8mm tank pickup to 10mm line but you wont have to worry about that if you use the right fittings on the pump, filter and fuel rail.

May 22, 2020 · The Italian made Weber 34adm Carburetor, was factory fitted to XE/XF Falcon 6cyl, Ford F100-350's and Ford Bronco 6cyl. It existed as factory fitment, from mid 1982, up till March 1993 - when the XF Falcon commercial range ended, and the XG Falcon was launched. The stock 34adm carby, has a flow rate of 230cfm. Oct 27, 2005 · I was wondering if anyone had any info on swapping the stock carby on a XF UTE to a 350 holly. Also, is it wise to run gas through it even if i use petrol the majority of the time.

Getting a carby to be legal on a 4 litre would be near impossible, you'd need a pollution compliant late model electronic type carby, and you'd need to run a cat, and get all sorts of emmisions …

Feb 22, 2025 · probably because your carby is fu*ked, idol speed is controlled by a screw on the throttle linkage so you should be able to adjust that.

Mar 6, 2014 · These are the measurments for the senders: XD Sedan = 270mm. XE-XF Sedan Carby = 195mm. XE-XF Sedan EFI = 200mm. XD-XF Wagon = 140mm. XD-XF Ute/Van = 210mm. XE-XF Sedan Carb has the same mounting as XD-XF Ute/Van/Wagon and XD Sedan.

Nov 14, 2004 · Look at the setup with the XG ute. basically an XF with the 4.0L.... Is possible, but I'd be looking for an XG donor car, to help with the basic bits and pieces needed. Then add the AU engine to that. '67 Mustang V8 4sp... what fun to drive!
