Jun 27, 2023 · It’s basically a narrow angle V6 but the first two generations were officially called VR6 by VW. Later although VW for some reason decided to just use V6 as the terminology. Also, that’s not the engine cover that you’re seeing, it’s all part of the intake manifold.

Sep 10, 2023 · The stock rear end most likely will not handle many hard launches or upgraded engines despite others saying it will be fine. If ford used the 8.8inch rear behind the 5.0 in explorers than why not put one in there instead. That being said my baby is going to get the 302, AOD , and 8.8 rear end.

Apr 27, 2022 · I think the 3.2 from the Audi is the same as the R32 engine. Meaning it’s doable. The MK4 only came with a 2.8 VR6 (24v and 12v) depending on the model/year. The one major thing that comes to mind that I don’t know; is the Audi engine longitudinally mounted? That would make things a bit tougher. If it’s transverse it would be easier.

Mar 11, 2023 · Had a VR6 gti that jumped time and had cylinder misfires. Nothing else happened in the motor and it ran, but ran very poorly. Was a fun car until that happened. My nephew ended up with it and put a timing chain and guides in it and it ran for awhile like that

They have gotten many updates over the years, but it really hasn’t changed much since it was first out in the B6 Passat. Porsche reworked the cylinder head of yhe VR6 and they ran that as the V6 option until the 2018 model year.
