The Ford GTX1 was a roadster version of the First Generation Ford GT. The GTX1 was created as a show car for the 2005 SEMA show, but eventually garnered enough to demand to be produced in limited numbers.

The Ford GT GT1 is a racing version of the Ford GT developed by Matech Concepts to comply with FIA GT1 rules. The official race debut of the Ford GT1 coincided with the kick-off of the 2009 FIA GT Championship season in Silverstone.
