The Ford FE engine is a medium block V8 engine produced in multiple displacements over two generations by the Ford Motor Company and used in vehicles sold in the North American market between 1958 and 1976.

We have various 406-427 OEM blocks to build these engines at an extra cost. Super street dyno tune using O2 sensors estimated at $300 plus jets or carb spacers.

It was rated at 345 HP @ 4600 RPM and 462 ft. lbs. of torque @ 2800 RPM with a compression ratio of 10.5:1. The cylinder heads were the regular production FE series cylinder heads, with 2.04″ intake and 1.57″ exhaust valves.

By 1966, the renowned 428 and the short-lived 410 had been released, and these completed the lineup of FE passenger-car engines. And as a result, a lot of high-performance Ford FE engine history was written in a very short time.

Dec 16, 2009 · So Ford combined the previously successful 3.98 inch (101.09 mm) stroke and 4.13 inch (104.90 mm) bore in the FE 428 motor, which was an easier engine to produce. Its displacement was nearly the same, and the engine had a nodular iron crankshaft and was externally balanced.
