Apr 16, 2012 · I have had cooling problems with my newish 250 for a couple of years. I am installing an aluminum radiator and want to make sure I choose a fan that will be efficient. I currently have a 7 blade flex fan. I'm concerned that it may be blocking air flow at high speeds. I can actually control my engine temp with my speed on the highway.

Dec 30, 2008 · i truly belive that the taurus fan will be very close to that black magic fan in its air flow abilitys. i dont have a way of testing the cfm rating on the taurus fan so i cant give any data. ive used lots of different eletric fans on different cars and the taurus is the second strongest one ive used. the best one is the licon mark 8 fan. its just a little to big for the room in the maverick.

Jul 20, 2004 · Yes, I do have a shroud on it, and I replaced the OE 4-blade fan with a 5-blade flex fan from a Torino I found in a junkyard years ago. The fan is properly spaced into the shroud. The radiator is a Modine 3-row for a Maverick w/AC that I put in a few years ago. The car has long tube headers that make a lot of underhood heat despite being wrapped.
