Jun 1, 2020 · The weldolet for run sizes larger than 36″ (DN 1800) will be considered as flatolet. A run pipe having a branch connection is weakened by the opening made in it. The branch connection must reinforce the opening and restore the original strength of the run pipe.

Flatolet is a regular olet engineered to go on a large radius, essentially flat, header. The basic design of a flatolet is same except the flat base. Nov 6, 2002 · Anyone know what a flatolet is and what it looks like? A major refinery (client of ours) has just recently add this fitting to one of their pipe specs. I know what a sockolet, threadlolet, & a weldolet is, but, never heard of flatolet.
