I would like to export flat BOM recursively from the top model and get all the parts and sub parts using API, is it possible? I don't wish to open each sub model in order to get it and then to combine it. I know already to take from the drawing the bom feature, but in this case it may be better to go to the model file. Aug 30, 2011 · I tried creating a reference dimension and every other kind of dimension but the option to link this value does not appear. The only other way I think that I could personally do it, is to create a conditional statement on my BOM. This is a last resort and I know that you geniuses out there will know the answer. Im using 2011.

Sep 24, 2010 · The best idea I seen for dealing with the flat length and width of a part is to link the actual dimensions to a custom property in the drawing (not the part). This is easy to do, just create the property and click on the length and width dimension on the flat pattern. What I can't figure out is how to access it.

Jun 19, 2019 · This is a sheet metal item with, obviously, no bend information. I'm using a Weldment Cut List table to generate the table but get the same result using a BOM list with Detailed/Flat numbering. I'm aware generating the Flat Pattern profiles creates a new configuration within the part, so wonder if it's something to do with this?

However, on my shop drawing I need to show the size of the flat pattern in my BOM. Right now, I simply put some reference dimensions on the flat pattern in the part document and link them to a column called "sheet size" in my drawing. It seems like there should be a better way to do this.

Jan 9, 2013 · Please see attached part file. I'm really just trying to find an easy way to get the flat pattern dimension into my BOM. Cut-List properties seems to be the ticket, but I can't figure out why the discrepancy between the properties value and the actual model. Any ideas?

Everytime I create a BOM, the flat number is not selected (instead No Numbering is selected), and the Detailed Cut List is not ticked. Any advice? 2.

Sep 4, 2019 · How does one create a flat bill of materials for a major assembly where the vendor purchased assemblies do not flatten? This creates a useless BOM full of vendor identified only bits and pieces. There has to be a parameter that can be set to this type of file so it does not flatten. Is there a way to pick what I need to flatten and exclude others?
