Dit fjord steekt zo’n 100(!) kilometer door het land en is door de Golfstroom bijna het hele jaar toch ijsvrij. Vaar langs beschermen vogel natuurgebieden, vaste menselijke nederzettingen en het meest noordelijk gelegen radiostation ter wereld.
