The original "Council Rake," engineered especially for wildland firefighting and made to U.S. Forestry Service Specifications. Whether you're establishing fire lines, rolling burning logs, digging, raking, or cutting heavy grasses, this Council Tool Fire Rake gets the job done.

A fire rake has a wooden or fiberglass handle with a rake head consisting of four to six sharp, serrated, triangular steel blades. It is used to rake a fire break with the sharp teeth, enabling it to reach fire in undergrowth in addition to loose surface debris.

A heavy duty rake that meets USFS specifications and is widely used by professional firefighters at the fire line. Doubles as a hoe or tamper for use in matted leaves and moving loose ground rubble. No fire box should be without one.

Fire Rake has a 1.94 lb. heat treated drop forged angle iron 12” head with 4 tempered V-shaped sharp teeth and a 60” press-fit fiberglass handle with cap grip. The Rake is used for raking fire lines, digging, rolling burning logs and cutting grass, small brush or saplings.

NUPLAGLAS® exceeds all federal standards for handle strength. It is an excellent dielectric material, and its smooth, resin rich surface protects the user from splinters. It does not absorb moisture, resists UV deterioration, and is fire retardant.
