Mar 11, 2024 · FiiO kept it simple with the I/O on the E10k in a bid to keep the form factor as small as possible. At the front of the unit there is a single-ended 3.5mm headphone output. While it works perfectly fine, recent counterparts tend to have both a 3.5mm and a balanced 2.5/4.4mm audio jack as well. The lack of a balanced output is a miss for the E10k.

Apr 14, 2022 · For the money, IMO, the FiiO E10k is unbeatable for entry level stuff. Yea a lot of people are ignoring it's flaws and just saying 'You can power almost any headphone with this'. It's true but it doesn't mean it'll sound as good as with other pairings. My E10k sounds good for the most part but there's almost like an overall cold feel to it.

Nov 9, 2015 · The FiiO E10k is easily one of the best entry level amp dacs out there. On high gain, it should be able to drive the HD600/K7XX without much issue. Moreover, if you decide on upgrading on your amp, you're still able to use the E10K as a standalone dac.

Dec 7, 2021 · I was wondering whether or would be worth it purchasing the latest Fiio E10K model called TC - used for 60 - euros over the previous Olympus 2 version, which would cost me around 30-40 used. I don't care much about spending 30 Euros more or less, but if the current version isn't noticeably better I will probably stick with the older one.

This depends on the gain. In low gain, the fiio e10k with the volume maxed out is only a little louder than an iphone with the volume maxed out. However, with sensitive low impedance headphones, noise is much more audible, and low output impedance also becomes more important. So an amp still helps, just in different ways.

Apr 6, 2019 · Compared to Z370M, the sound on FiiO was much more fun, although very flat. Z370M lacks bass whatsoever and is overall very bright, which I don't really enjoy. FiiO does seem to have a more preferable signature to me, but feels a bit muffled, which takes the enjoyment away. TL;DR. Overall, I do not recomment the FiiO E10K to anyone.
