A Fiber Termination Unit (FTU) is a small box that is attached to the side of a house that will act as the transition point from the backbone fiber network to the inside wiring. The box contains one or more fiber connectors and slack storage space for excess fiber.

The FTU-08 Fiber Termination Unit is designed to provide a connection and distribution point for FTTx applications. The unit is outdoor rated and can be easily pole or wall mounted. The FTU-08 has two entry ports for distribution cables and eight ports for fiber drops or jumpers.
