I would try and get a copy of either chevron's fugitive emission testing procedure Or Lion Oil's those two specs are the most harsh I've seen and if you pass those you many companies (not all) will accept it.

For reference, the FE exam is the first, more general exam everyone needs to take; the PE exam is the more specific one you take that allows you to call yourself a Professional Engineer. Dec 14, 2020 · It works because the active ingredient in H&S forms a complex with Fe and turns blue. We used it when we had to test very large surfaces. Applied it with a mop and kept it damp by misting with DI water. The other simpel free Fe test is to cover the surface with something absorbent (disposable diaper material works great) and dampen with DI water.

Nov 19, 2012 · I actually found the FE test (30+ years ago) to be more difficult than the PE!! The FE tested EVERYTHING you ever learned or forgot. The PE allowed me to pick and choose what I wanted to work on. Heck - I did a simple transportation problem in about 5 minutes - even though I was more of a structural guy. But it was too easy to pass up!!

May 1, 2019 · I also found the PE test is easier than the FE test since it is more practical. My undergraduate degree isn't from the US, so what I had learned wasn't tailored towards that test. Accredited US school is much more tailored towards the exams, especially the FE exam. So I had to self-study a lot more. I passed FE and PE test at the first time.
