The FAYZ was created on November tenth, a Monday, in 2008, at ten eighteen in the morning. The FAYZ was created by a 4 year old child named Little Pete to avoid a nuclear disaster, a disaster which may have been caused by the Gaiaphage.

The FAYZ Barrier, also known as the FAYZ wall, or simply as the dome, is a huge barrier, taking the shape of a sphere (dome), which surrounds the entirety of Perdido Beach and its surrounding countrysides, better known as the FAYZ zone by those trapped inside the barrier.

Students Sam Temple, Quinn Gaither, Astrid Ellison, and Edilio Escobar discover an impermeable barrier cutting Perdido Beach off from the outside world; the area within the barrier is subsequently nicknamed "Fallout Alley Youth Zone", shortened to "the FAYZ".

The Gone Series currently consists of nine books. The original six books are about the FAYZ. The next three are set four years after and contain concepts from the original six books and from Michael Grant's other series, Animorphs.

Apr 3, 2013 · I thought it was unfair for Dahra, since she's gone through so much and only at the expanse of herself, the same by jack. While I read the death of Brianna it was cruel in my eyes, but now I've thought about it, and I think this was also very well done by Grant.

The FAYZ (Fallout Alley Youth Zone) symbolizes control, containment, the unknown, and change. It represents a new, unusual world that differs greatly from the characters’ previous lives of comfort, safety, and freedom.

Albert Hillsborough is a fourteen-year-old African-American student in charge of food, water, and work in Perdido Beach. Albert is considered by many to be the most powerful person in the FAYZ. He is a true "businessman" despite his young age, and is clever and powerful.
