Houston, TX (February 12, 2025) – First responders, including paramedics, assessed and treated individuals hurt in a vehicle collision that occurred in the Astrodome neighborhood of Houston. The crash took place at the intersection of I-610 W and Fannin St around 11:53 AM.

HOUSTON – A cement truck rollover on Interstate 610 South Loop at Fannin has part of the freeway blocked. Police said the accident occurred in the westbound lanes of 610 South Loop.

At approximately 11:52 a.m., police and EMS were dispatched to the scene of a collision at the intersection of Interstate 610 W and Fannin Street. Emergency responders found vehicles with visible damage and assisted those involved.

The I-610 South Loop eastbound frontage road from Fannin Street to SH 288 remains under construction with estimated completion in late 2024. Work is also ongoing to place new high mast lighting along the new mainlanes of the I-610 South Loop.

HOUSTON – The Texas Department of Transportation announces weekend closures for work associated with the $116.9 million I-610/Cambridge project near NRG Stadium that is reconstructing the mainlanes and frontage roads, and constructing an overpass at Cambridge Street and FM 521/Almeda Road.
