Nov 30, 2015 · Hello KC4RAF, I've also got a FT-2900R. It actually puts out 5/10/ 30 /75 watts as input into a tuned antenna. Since I live right in the middle of about 10 repeaters, I use an "Ed Fong" duel band 2 meter/70 cm antenna mounted in thin wall pvc up in the attic. The antenna is rated for 75 watts.
