Nov 4, 2011 · Hi i have around 2 thousand saved up for a new gun. I narrowed it down to the scar and a acr. I cannot decide which to get, the acr has the option to change caliber which is a big plus. I have also found an acr for around 1700 while the SCAR is around 2100.

Dec 8, 2011 · The SCAR is used by the military and the ACR is not. The ACR is made by Bushmaster and the SCAR is made by FN. Functionally similar but so is a Hi-Point compared to a Glock. The devil is in the details when it comes to military rifles.

The ACR's is little more than an Ar-15 retrofit kit. Scar comes standard with ff rails and folding stock with adjustable length of pull and cheek piece.
