The original had a slightly "dusty" look. Noctis is now looking at the front of the cover instead of into the distance on the side.

May 14, 2019 · Personally I find the cover art beautiful, it was done by Yoshitaka Amano who has done a lot of art for Square previously and it’s a very distinct and beautiful style. I also was looking forward to a complete edition of the game however I may just have to settle for this version. Is the cover art reversible by any chance ?

Nov 2, 2016 · The western cover has grown on me a bit, but the Japanese cover is far better from both an aesthetic and thematic standpoint. It immediately gives you a good idea of what the game will be like going in, while in comparison the western cover is just nondescript action poses.
