The Tantalus Theater Troupe is a traveling group of thieves led by Baku in Final Fantasy IX. They appear as performers and entertainers to cover their thieving, and put on shows as a distraction while they perform a job.

Baku is a non-player character and leader of the infamous Tantalus Theater Troupe in Final Fantasy IX. Baku plays King Leo in the troupe's production of the play I Want to Be Your Canary. Tantalus's home base is in Lindblum's Theater District.

The story of Final Fantasy IX follows the thief Zidane, a member of the Tantalus Theater Troupe that sets out to kidnap the princess of Alexandria, Garnet Til Alexandros XVII.

The Tantalus Hideout is located through the doorway on the left side of the screen, but you should skip past it first. Travel south down the stairs leading to the right. There is a crowd of people gathered in front of the Feugert Memorial Theater entrance.

There will be one family member you can see for every scene or boss fight you encounter in Memoria. You have to return to the Tantalus hideout everytime you encounter one of the triggers listed below.
