Amarant Coral is an enigmatic fellow, with not too much known about him. Known as The Flaming Amarant, he seems to be feared in Treno, sending some people who know of his name running away. After meeting up with Zidane, he questions the thief’s motives, opting to follow him instead of carrying out his mission.

Like Sabin Figaro from Final Fantasy VI, Amarant can use Blitz combinations to devastating effect. A traditional Final Fantasy Ninja, Amarant can also throw GP and items at the enemy, and also possesses curative abilities. Amarant's Trance ability is called Elan.

He is a powerful fighter, and his Throw command flings thrown weapons or the party's old weapons at the enemy. He's definitely someone worth keeping in your party. Amarant's Trance causes his Flair attacks to be used on either all allies or all enemies, depending on the skill.
