Feb 12, 2021 · Not a fan, sadly. Just started playing it in the past week or so. Btw, I started FF games back with the first on the NES in 1990, have played 4 through 12. The combat is fun, in a shallow sort of way, but messy; the main characters are charming, but the plot pacing is abysmal; it sometimes feels like the skeleton of a masterpiece.

Aug 5, 2021 · Hello, I'm a lifelong FF fan who recently started 'catching up' to the series after falling off the wagon since the XIII series. Wasn't really a fan of those games due to the linearity and wasn't big on the combat (although Lightning Returns was pretty good). For reference, my favorite entries in the series were always IV, VII, IX, and XII.

15 was my first FF and I loved it, having no prior expectations. Everyone has their own opinion. Your subjective opinion is that 15 is bad. It's not an objective fact. My subjective opinion is that 15 was good. I loved it. I also loved the open world gameplay more than the linear style of 16 but 16 makes up for that in other ways.
