May 8, 2010 · I was thinking of either buying a turbo kit ($2,800-$3,600) WICKED EXPENSIVE! or building my own turbo set up, It's a 94 accord ex that has a F22B in it, It's my everyday driver but I like fast too, whats a safe boost level? It's at 150hp what could I expect after turboing it and setting at a safe boost level. I was thinking 200?

Mar 28, 2008 · alright the f22b vtec has only 140 hp . comp ratio is 8.8:1 which is ideal for boost application. also the f series has cast iron sleeves. ready for forged internals. and a low milage f22 will hold 14 psi on a tuned motor. the down side to the f series is a sohc head which doesnt allow for a fine tunning. also there quite expensive to build.

Mar 29, 2007 · I blew a piston thru my non-vtec F22 engine and have just replaced it with a F22B vtec engine. I used the non-vtec harness (that doesnt have the connector for the vtec solenoid) and it starts up just fine. I also ordered a chipped P28 ecu.
