Oct 6, 2013 · All the other Truck/Van models had Metal intakes, but they were all non PI. The F250/350's weren't upgraded to PI until late 2000 early 2001. The vans took longer than that lol. So if you want a 99-01 PI 5.4L, the doner would have to be an F150. The van engine will work, as long as you use your existing truck intake on top of it.

Mar 19, 2009 · You're actually all right. The earlier 7-lug trucks were called F250 Light duty, but later on, (don't know the years) became the F150 7700. The 7700 stood for 7700lbs GVW, but all the badges on the truck said F150. The 7-lug trucks were basically what you got if you ordered an F150 with the snowplow prep package.
