May 16, 2013 · There is a difference between "Smart Rotation" which rotates the screen based on the orientation of your face and "Auto Rotate Screen" which orients the screen based on how you are holding the device (landscape vs. portrait). It is the "Smart Rotation" that gives you the little "eye" icon on the task bar.

Aug 29, 2012 · About three days ago I discovered an over the air software update for my Samsung Galaxy S3, and installed it. Since then, I have noticed a new icon in my notification bar - an eye. The assumption is that it has something to do with the "Smart Stay" feature of the GS3 - a feature that I have not yet been able to determine if it works or not.

Dec 7, 2012 · I notice the eye pop up just before the screen dims, and again just before it shuts off. If I'm looking at the phone, when it pops up the it'll reset the timer to 30 seconds, at which point the above will repeat. If I turn smart stay off (and smart rotation off), the eye never pops up, and the screen shuts off whether I'm looking at it or not.

Oct 30, 2018 · I have an lg x-charge. I just did a factory reset on my phone yesterday, because someone had rooted my phone and was stealing my information. I no longer have the problem with the root, but now i have this red dot in the upper right hand corner of the camera icon. It is not the notification bubble, it is MUCH MUCH smaller, almost unrecognizable.

Jul 21, 2022 · This new one will by my replacement with more capacity and also can switch between USB-C/USB-A good to have both. Also SanDisk is USB 3.1 drive. Google says S22 USB port is USB 3.2 Gen 1 so theoretically can transfer up to 5 Gbps (10x faster than USB 2.0). I'm guessing the higher transfer rate is contributing to the heat. Will keep an eye on it.
