A boxcar is the North American and South Australian Railways term for a railroad car that is enclosed and generally used to carry freight. The boxcar, while not the simplest freight car design, is considered one of the most versatile since it can carry most loads.

Its hard to find an ex-RI/Rock boxcars in decent shape, this one still looks good in 1994! Found on Conrail. The Warren & Ouchita Valley (W&OV) was a shortline and a Rock subsidary in Arkansas. They had roster boxcars W&OV 1-100. They closed down in 1979 before the Rock shutdown. Boxcars like these were built by Pullman Standard for the RI.
