In Greek mythology Eurytion was the leader of the half-horse, half-man Magnesian Centaurs. He was invited to the wedding of his half-brother Pirithous, king of the Lapiths, but during the celebrations became drunk and attempted to abduct the bride.

Eurytion is an immortal demigod son of Ares and Erytheia. Ares, his father. Eurytion started as a herdsman for Geryon, but accepted immortality when his father Ares offered it. He instantly regretted it, because he was bound to serve Geryon for all eternity.
