EUCRISA works both above and below the skin to treat eczema. The active ingredient, crisaborole 2%, acts deep within your skin cells to target an enzyme called PDE4 (phosphodiesterase 4). The specific way EUCRISA works is not well defined.

Use EUCRISA exactly as your healthcare provider tells you to use it. Apply a thin layer of EUCRISA to the affected areas 2 times each day. Wash your hands after applying EUCRISA, unless hands are being treated. If someone else applies EUCRISA for you, they should wash their hands after applying EUCRISA. EUCRISA is for topical use only.
