In a growing literature on maternal art there is relatively little written on Eti Wade, despite what I argue is the importance of her work to discourses of maternal wellbeing. There is more detailed discussion of Lena Simic’s practice and my aim is to extend this by reading the work of both artists through the voices of my research participants.
