ESPN took over the NHL subscription and the video skips all the time. Customer support says uninstall the app, unplug the tv, wait ten seconds and reinstall the app. Problem comes back in 24 hours.

Dec 5, 2022 · ESPN plus games still horrible and are at a low bit rate compared to everything else out there. ESPN2,3 and U look fine. It seems to me they're just shipping out on the high definition streams on any ESPN plus game and I guess this just must be to save bandwidth.

but yes, if you're wanting the NBA, NFL or big time college football, the service isn't going to get you that. you're going to need to either get cable or wait for ESPN's upcoming, and much more expensive subscription option that will include all of that stuff

We do also have cable with the sports package (for me to watch my Bruins on NESN, among other things) so it’s not an issue when one of the Habs games ends up on TNT/ESPN/NHL Network
