Mar 21, 2024 · Ok I think I've found a workaround though not an ideal one. I went into The ESET security folder on my PC and did a search for all .exe files, Found one called egui.exe. So clicked on that and the console screen appeared and also the ESET icon in the system tray. So it seems for some reason ESET has stopped running this executable file at startup.

Oct 6, 2014 · I downloaded and installed 8. Icon is back. I have been using Eset for approximately almost 6 years. I always was able to resolve any problems, which were few and far between. I also went and restored windows the day before this hapened and icon was still not on task bar. Eset was running in the back ground, updating and scanning, just no icon.

After updating the Feature update to Windows 10, version 21H1, the ESET tray icon stopped constantly spinning and ESET seems to be working fine. Glynda Lucas

Jun 2, 2015 · For all of you who don't see ESET icon in system tray, there is ESET KB article "How do I display the ESET icon in my Windows system tray" ... And - it works for all Windows version supported from Microsoft (V7, 8.x and 10.x)

Nov 17, 2023 · When I recently updated ESET and seen this new icon popup, I initially thought it was a "wafer cookie with filling" or a replica of a "Star Wars space craft". But after reading the information above on what this is, all I can do is shake my head in amazement. Anything that relates to ESET, would have been better than this icon.

Sep 19, 2023 · Refer to the below screen shot. If you disable the highlighted setting in Eset Banking & Payment Protection settings, the green frame around the browser window plus the icon notification that Eset is operating in B&PP mode will not appear;
