The primary design goals for the EQXX were weight reduction and aerodynamic efficiency, both of which would work in conjunction to give the EQXX 1,000 km (621 mi) of range. This meant that with a 100 kWh (360 MJ) battery, the car had to travel more than 10 km (6 mi) per kWh .
