Empok Nor was a Cardassian space station located in the Trivas system, almost identical to Terok Nor (later known as Deep Space 9). The Cardassians abandoned it in 2372, leaving behind standard booby traps that targeted non-Cardassians.

Set in the 24th century, the series follows the adventures of the crew of Deep Space Nine, a space station near the planet Bajor, as the Bajorans recover from a brutal decades-long occupation by the imperialistic Cardassians.

Scavenging an abandoned Cardassian space station identical to DS9 for equipment, O'Brien's team discovers that the station may not be completely abandoned. Kira, Dax, and Worf enter Quark's to find it strangely empty – and the reason soon becomes apparent.

Empok Nor was a Cardassian space station located in the Trivas system, abandoned in 2372 by the Cardassians. The station had been the site of experiments with psychotropic drugs upon Cardassian soldiers of the First Order, heightening their xenophobia and aggression.

The pair simply can't get the thing to work, and O'Brien tells Sisko that he'll need to replace the manifold completely but can't make one himself. He'll need to go to Empok Nor, a sister station that was abandoned by the Cardassians, to scrounge one up.
