All it gains is faster firing speed and Elite targeting. So functionally the same question and answer still applies for x3x Snipers and 230 does seem to be better... but also the difference in cost is fairly significant. Without MK on Normal, a 032 Sniper is $5,100, while a 230 Sniper is $6150, about 21% more expensive.

Mar 22, 2022 · In normal games, Elite Sniper is great (even if you have no other snipers) because it damages every bloon type and carries most of the midgame while generating income. You can usually get it by r50-ish, and it'll keep you safe for a long time while paying for itself and eventually generating profit by, idk, r80 or so.

Jun 1, 2022 · A key tower in sniper spam strategies, combine with elite defender, maim moab, and multiple bouncing bullets. The shrapnel buff makes this an insane combination with the alchemist, gaining enough group clearing to make everything up to round 80 really easy.

Elite Defender can be pretty good with it, too; it lets balloons get a bit further down the track to keep its attack speed consistently higher while still maintaining safety. Elite priority is never a huge boost, but I'll use it from time to time.
