In 2006, Elfin began producing two related V8-powered sports cars : the MS8 Streamliner and the MS8 Clubman. Thereafter, in 2008, Elfin introduced what might be termed an entry-level model, the turbocharged four cylinder T5 Clubman.

Jul 6, 2014 · The Elfin ME 5 was the first aluminium monocoque sports car to be built and was commissioned by Niel Allen for his attack on the Australian Sports Car Championship. The model designation ME 5 came from it's designer/builder Garrie Cooper, 'M' for monocoque, 'E' for Elfin and the '5' for the size of the engine.
